Soon, CenceMe will even be able to determine if a person is busy in a conversation, or dancing at a party, and will automatically learn your buddies' favorite hang outs! This presence can be gathered and shared with your social circle via Facebook™ without any extra effort. CenceMe presence can be viewed on the iPhone™ as well. Beyond detection and sharing, CenceMe software also allows you to customize how your presence information is displayed, by allowing you to assign personalized presenceIcons and text to your presence. Getting Started.

In just a few easy steps you will be on your way, sensing and sharing your presence. Play around with CenceMe in pre-activation mode to get a taste of what CenceMe is about within the friendly confines of your own iPhone™. When you are ready to fully tune in to your Seventh Sense, activate CenceMe and start publishing your presence to your Facebook™ account.

1. Install the CenceMe application on your iPhone™ for free.

2. In pre-activation mode, CenceMe detects your activity and reflects this activity using one of a number of CenceMe system default presence Icons displayed on the iPhone™ GUI.

3. For access to more advanced features, activate your CenceMe application (also free) using the "Activate" button on the "Settings" view on the CenceMe GUI. The activation process will also direct you to install the CenceMe plugin on your Facebook™ page.

4. The new Facebook™ portal does not allow to automatically add the CenceMe box to your Facebook™ page. In order for your friends to see your CenceMe presence through the CenceMe box, please follow the steps below:

• Log in to your Facebook™ page and go to the new Facebook™ portal. Once you are in your Home page click the "Edit" link in the Applications box that you find in the right hand side of the page.
  
  
  
  
• Once inside the Applications page click on the "Authorized" tab. You'll see a list of applications including "CenceMe - iPhone Edition". Click "Edit" on the right of "CenceMe - iPhone Edition".
  
  
  
  
• The "Edit CenceMe - IPhone Edition Settings" window pops up. Go to the "Profile" tab and click 'add' in the row: Box: Available(add).
  
  

You should be all set at this point. Now if you go back to your Profile page you should see a "Boxes" tab. If you click on the tab you'll go to a page where you see the CenceMe box. Click the red "Activate Box" button in the CenceMe box to complete the process.

5. After activation, your location presence is available in addition to your activity presence, and you have access to a number of additional features.

• Using the IconMe feature, you have the ability to customize your location and activity presence on the iPhone™ with an icon of your choice or a photo and a personalized text tag. The icon or the photo along with the text tag are displayed in your Facebook™ profile and your buddies' phone.
  
  
  
  
• It's no longer just you on the main CenceMe view, but now the presence icons for all your CenceMe buddies are there too.
  
  
  
  
• Click on one of these buddies and you will see a mapped view of their presence, including any nearby buddies. Tap the photo thumbnail to see the higher resolution version of the photo.
  
  
  
  
• On the map view, click on a buddy's icon to see more presence details about that buddy.
  
  
  
  

Click on the "Help" buttons on each view for additional usage hints.

6. Play with the privacy settings of the iPhone™ application to control the presence information uploaded to the CenceMe plugin on your Facebook™ profile.

7. Configure the Facebook™ privacy policy that you wish to apply to the CenceMe plugin, to share your CenceMe presence with the friends of your choice.
