At CenceMe.org, we value the privacy of the users (“Users”) of the our service offerings. In this privacy statement we specify the potential exposure of Users' personal information so that Users can make an informed decision about when and whether to make use of our services.

This privacy statement covers the service offerings of CenceMe.org, specifically the Web pages available at http://www.cenceme.org (“the Site”), the software available at Apple® App Store* for use on the iPhone™ (“the Software”), and any other CenceMe.org widgets, plugins, add-ons. This Privacy Statement is incorporated into and is subject to the CenceMe.org terms of use.

The Site is for informational and support purposes only, and does not use Web cookies to identify Users. The Site provides User support through a community forum moderated by CenceMe.org. Users may post questions either through a Web or by email (see section "Customer Support" in this Privacy Statement). Any User experience information divulged to the support forum is considered in the public domain. CenceMe.org may, but has no obligation to, delete or modify, in whole or in part, User contributions to the support forum at its discretion, with or without cause.

The Software infers human presence information based on iPhone™ sensors, for example, activity and location, and also records any User annotation of the inferred presence (collectively, “Presence Information”). The Software is available for download from Apple App Store and is operational in two modes: pre-activation and post-activation. The pre-activation mode allows a User to gather his or her own Presence Information for personal viewing on the iPhone™. The post-activation mode provides Users the ability to share their Presence Information with their friends by integrating with Facebook™**.

For the pre-activation mode, no registration with CenceMe.org is required. However, User Presence Information is stored locally on the User's iPhone™. It is the sole responsibility of the User to protect their own privacy insofar as Presence Information stored and/or displayed by the Software locally on a User's iPhone™ is concerned. Additional information may be collected by Apple, Inc.® as part of the Software download process from Apple App Store. Such information, if any, is out of the control of CenceMe.org and is not covered by this Privacy Statement.

To fully activate the CenceMe Software, a User must register with CenceMe.org. During the registration process, CenceMe.org stores the User's Facebook™ account identifier, the User's Facebook™ persistent session key, and the date and time of the registration. CenceMe.org may store the first name and last name of the User as indicated on the User's Facebook™ account, if the User has configured his or her Facebook™ account to reveal these to the public. CenceMe.org does not collect any email address, postal address, demographic or financial information about the Users during registration or at any other time.

In post-activation mode, a copy of the most recent Presence Information uploaded from a User's iPhone™ to the User's Facebook™ account is present on servers operated by CenceMe.org. However, CenceMe.org does not store a history of a User's Presence Information.

Information hosted by the Site's community support forum is moderated and maintained by CenceMe.org in support of the Software.

Presence Information gathered by the Software in pre-activation mode is used for local display on a User's iPhone™.

Presence Information gathered by the Software in post-activation mode is used both for local display on the iPhone™ and is copied to a “profile box” developed by CenceMe.org on the User's Facebook™ account.

Broadly, information collected during User registration facilitates the activation of the Software, including a count of the number of activatited CenceMe copies. More specifically, the User's Facebook™ account identifier and Facebook™ persistent session key are used to install a “profile box” on the User's Facebook™ account. A User's Presence Information is displayed by means of this “profile box”, subject to the visibility policies of the User's Facebook™ account. Such visibility policies are solely under the control of the User via privacy control methods provided by Facebook™; CenceMe.org has no control over, or responsibility for, the privacy of a User's Presence Information once it is displayed on the User's Facebook™ account.

Customer support is provided via a Frequently Asked Questions document available at http://www.cenceme.org/faq.html, and via a community support forum present at http://www.cenceme.org/support.html. The support forum is most conveniently accessed through the web, but Users may also post questions via an emails address: cenceme-help@cenceme.org. Emails sent to this address are automatically posted to the forum and will receive no reply, except through the Web-based forum. We do not collect User email addresses or use any other means of direct communication with the Users.

We do not share User registration data or any Presence Information processed by the Software with any third parties. Information posted by Users to the community support forum on the Site is understood to be in the public domain.

Service Providers

We use GetSatisfaction.com to provide the community support forum on our Site. Information posted by Users to the community support forum on the Site is understood to be in the public domain. No User information is provided to GetSatisfaction.com by CenceMe.org.

Legal Disclaimer

We reserve the right to disclose your registration information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this Privacy Statement, and a notice of policy change to the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
